Forget expensive and difficult-to-work with granite counter tops! I want concrete counter tops in my next kitchen or bathroom redesign. Not only is it easier to work with and more sustainable/green/better for the environment, but it’s also a lot cheaper! And creating something a bit more unique won’t hit your pile of cash so hard as long as you’re willing to put some in work yourself.
There are nearly unlimited finishes that can be applied to concrete to mimic wood or variations of natural rock, but I prefer the raw appeal of leaving the finish nearly unaltered.
